Rida, Mile End

“As a young Muslimah I am often asked why I choose to believe in God, instead of just giving into society’s expectations and being a typical ‘party girl’, living life to its full, as I was been labelled before. The answer for me is simple. Without religion as a driving force in my everyday life, I would be no different to an animal corpse hanging in a local meat shop, a rearrangement of atoms which came to be and one day will dissipate into the atmosphere. There must be a purpose for my existence. Submitting to the will of your creator seems to be the most rationale purpose to me.”
